As the first project of year 2, the aim of the project was to approach the theme of habitat.

The two constraints of the exercise were that of volume (540m³) and of program (habitat for a family of 3-5 people).

My approach was to conceptualize a house as a cocoon, a protective bubble. The icosahedron being a close geometrical match to the sphere, I explored this volume accommodating 4 users. Each function is on a different triangular shaped level spiralling upwards to the tent-like sleeping area.
